It was amazing! I made the spindle using a cup hook (the little C-shaped hooks with screws on the end), a dowel rod, and some Sculpey. I made a couple discs from the Sculpey in different sizes, punched a hole in the middle with the dowel rod, and then baked them like you’re supposed to. Can I have a personal bragging moment?
Today, I made my own drop spindle.
And then I spun my first 35 yards of yarn.
I know it’s not that much, but it was a trial run. It’s spun and plied and currently setting. I can’t wait until it’s dry! :)
